Belgian commemorative coin of 2 euro from 2013 commemorates the centenary of the Belgian Royal Meteorological Institute. The institute received its name and the autonomy on July 31, 1913, but the Belgian climate research center has existed in Uccle already since 1876. The Royal Meteorological Institute is the most important centre for weather forecast in Belgium.
