interesting facts:
This coin commemorates 30th anniversary of announcing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 10, 1948. The December 10, was then proclaimed the International Day of Human Rights.
Logo of the International Human Rights Day.
It is not clear why the coins were minted with acronyms FAO UN on the edge. (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations). Perhaps, also this coin was in some way promoting the FAO program "Food for All". This program was organised in 1968 to promote agriculture. The result was the issuance coins and postage stamps by dozens of countries around the world as an encouragement to increase food production.
