This Norwegian commemorative coin of 5 kroner from 1978 commemorates the 350th anniversary of Norwegian army foundation. On January 18, 1628 King of Denmark-Norway Christian IV established by a royal decree the first organised Norwegian army. It consisted of conscript soldiers grouped in five regiments and three companies.
