Tadeusz Kościuszko (1746-1817), both Polish and American general, leader of national uprising against Russia and Prussia in 1794.

The Regimental Colours of insurgents in 1794 uprising. They were mostly peasants, whose main weapon were scythes pointed upwards. The inscription says They feed and defend.
