Games of the 22th summer olympics took place in 1980 in Moscow, USSR. As a protest against Soviet invasion on Afghanistan, 65 countries, including USA, boycotted these games. In return 15 countries from the Soviet block boycotted the next summer olympics in 1984 in Los Angeles, USA.
