interesting facts:
Jozef Klemens Pilsudski (1867-1935) - Polish independence activist, military leader, politician. During World War I he created Polish Legions fighting against Russia. He rejected incorporating the units into German army and was therefore imprisoned. Releasing Pilsudski from prison and coming back to Poland was a huge event in a puppet Kingdom of Poland. Already the next day on November 11, 1918 the Regency Council appointed him the Commander-in-Chief of Polish army. This day marks the Polish Day of Regaining Independence. Pilsudski was the Chief of State between 1918 and 1922, the First Marschal since 1920; twice the Prime Minister of Poland (1926–1928 and in 1930).
