interesting facts:
This coin was issued to commemorate the 26th Summer Olympics in Atlanta in 1996. Portuguese were awarded in Atlanta two medals - golden in athletics - women's 10000 m run and bronze in sailing of Men's 470 class. During Atlanta Olympiad the centenary of modern Summer Olympic Games was celebrated. It took place in Greek Athens in 1896, therefore this date can be found on coin's reverse.
