interesting facts:
Designing the reverse of this coin Drahomír Zobek used the theme of the reverse type of Celtic tetradrachm of Bratislava type
from the 1st century BC. The inscription "BIATEC" is probably the name of a Celtic prince presented as a horse-rider with a
lime branch in hand. BIATEC-type coins have a diameter of ca. 25 mm and a weight of 16.5 -17 g, and are minted from silver or
high purity gold; Varieties with different inscriptions are known (e.g. NONNOS, DEVIL, BUSU, BUSSUMARUS, TITTO) but "BIATEC"
occurs most frequently. 14 treasures containing such coins were found in Slovakia, six of which near Bratislava.
Still during times of Czechoslovakia in 1990, a sculptor Ľudmila Cvengrošová created a three-meter high bronze statue of a BIATEC tetradrachm, which ended up in a storage of the Bratislava City Gallery. In 2008 it was exposed in front of the Slovak National Bank.
