interesting facts:
Commemorative coin with face value of 20 kroner from 2013 commemorates the world's first observation of supernova by Tycho Brahe (1546-1601). In November 1572 Tycho Ottesen Brahe, a young Danish astronomer, observed completely new strong light in the Cassiopeia constellation. He decided that this was a newborn star, what contradicted the Aristotle principle about the invariance of the sky. When publishing his discovery a few months later, he called this object Stella Nova. Today we know that the observed a supernova, which is an explosion of a celestial body. Remnants of a supernova explosion were named Tycho Supernova to honor Brahe, although it is known today that he was not the only discoverer of the supernova.
