interesting facts:
Glacial erratic Puntukas was the largest stone in the lands of Lithuania until the discovery of the boulder Barstyčiai in 1957. Brought by the ice sheet probably from Finland, Puntukas has a volume of ca. 100 m3 with the longest axes: 6.9 x 6.7 x 5.7m. In 1943, for the 10th anniversary of the nonstop flight over Atlantic by Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas, sculptor Bronius Pundzius carved in the boulder heads of the pilots and a commemorative dedication.
