interesting facts:
Boat of Kurenkahn (Kurėnas) type is a traditional, flat-bottomed boat with two masts constructed probably by the Curonians (one of the peoples of the Balts) before the 13th century. Boats of this type have conquered coastal waters of present-day Lithuania in the next centuries, but the construction was eventually abandoned after World War II. A replica of the Kurenkahn boat, which we present in the image was launched in 2001.
