interesting facts:
This commemorative coin with face value 20 kroner from 2002 commemorates 100th anniversary of birth of Danish architect Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971). The city hall in the second largest town of Denmark designed by Jacobsen together with Erik Møller (1909-2002) was opened on June 6, 1941. The concrete tower is 60 m high, and each of the clocks hanging on the tower has 7 metres diameter.

The coin series "Towers" (Tårnmønter) are dedicated to one of the most famous Danish architects Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971). To commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth a coin was struck with his most famous design - the tower of Aarhus city hall. The series continued until 2007 and it contains ten coins:
