interesting facts:
Lighthouse Borðan situated on the south east cape of the Nólsoy island was the first masonry lighthouse in the archipelago of the Faroe Islands. On October 1, 1893 it began to show the southern path to the port of the capital Tórshavn. Lighthouse built of basalt and granite has not really impressive height of 14 m, but due to the additional height of the cliff Borðan's light is one of the most visible in the North Sea.
