interesting facts:
In the 16th century the present summer residence of the Danish royal family in Gråsten was barely a hunting hut at the Gråsten lake. Later, the building was expanded gradually to the present form of the palace in the Rococo style designed in 1759 by Johann Gottfried Rosenberg.

The coin series "Towers" (Tårnmønter) are dedicated to one of the most famous Danish architects Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971). To commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth a coin was struck with his most famous design - the tower of Aarhus city hall. The series continued until 2007 and it contains ten coins:
