interesting facts:
The City Hall in Copenhagen was designed by Martin Nyropa, who inspired by the city hall in Italian Siena, proposed a similar shape, but in the style of Nordic Classicism. The city hall was opened on September 12, 1905, and to this day it houses the municipal authorities. The clock tower rising to 105.6 m is one of the highest buildings in the capital of Denmark.

The coin series "Towers" (Tårnmønter) are dedicated to one of the most famous Danish architects Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971). To commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth a coin was struck with his most famous design - the tower of Aarhus city hall. The series continued until 2007 and it contains ten coins:
