interesting facts:
Lightship digited XVII (Fyrskib XVII) was built from oak in the shipyard N.F. Hansens Værft in Odense in 1895. Initially it was marking a Lappegrund bank in the Öresund Strait, and from 1921 she stationed in the Guldborgsund Strait with breaks until 1972, when it was purchased by the Danish National Museum. It took a long time to raise funds to renovate the lightship, but eventually in 2003, the renovated ship was placed in the Nyhavn canal in Copenhagen, along with other historical Danish units gathered there in the museum exhibition.
