Emma Mærsk container ship was built in 2006 in the Odense Staalskibsværft shipyard. She was the first container ship of the Emma Mærsk class - the largest container ships in the world. Already eight vessels of this class were built, each with a length of 398 meters and a displacement tonnage of 14.5 thousand TEU.
